What an amazing day! May 1st is Media Junction's birthday. It's now been 18 years since my father and I founded a small web design agency to build custom websites for local companies.
Turning 18 is something to celebrate in itself!
But this year, our birthday came with some amazing surprises. Four Media Junction websites were just named Hermes Award Winners for Creative Web Design!
In our world, a Hermes Award is like an Emmy. This year, there were over 6,000 entries from all over the world!
It takes about eight weeks of judging, eight hours a day, to review all of the work that is submitted in each competition

Hermes Awards judges are senior-level industry professions who separately evaluate the creativity of each custom web design. Then judges discuss criticisms and compliments for each entry, and agree upon a score. To win a Platinum Award, a website must score between 90-100 points in the consensus judging system. Websites earning 80-89 points receive a Gold Award.

Today I'm incredibly proud of the Media Junction team. Not only do they create a workplace where I love to go every day, they're constantly thinking about how to take our clients' websites to the next level.
From achieving HubSpot Platinum Partner status to winning the inaugural HubSpot COS Hack-a-thon to bringing home four Hermes Awards for creative web design, 2015 has been an incredible year for Media Junction. I can't wait to see where we go next!
