NOTION ONBOARDING

buying notion is the easy part.

Getting your team to use it well is harder. Notion gives organizations a lot of freedom. But freedom without enough understanding can turn into a workspace full of pages, databases, and templates that made sense to whoever created them—and nobody else.

Our Notion Scaled Onboarding gives your team enough guidance, training, and hands-on help to start making good decisions from the beginning.

Because how you start matters.

you shouldn't need a consultant forever.

The goal of onboarding isn't to teach your team every feature in Notion.

It's to help them understand how Notion works well enough to make good decisions without us.

Over 60 days, we'll work alongside your team through eight working sessions. We'll answer questions, teach the platform, configure some of the basics together, and help your team understand why we're making the decisions we're making.

Pages. Databases. Teamspaces. Permissions. Templates. Automations. AI. Not as a feature tour. As tools your team needs to understand so they can decide what belongs in Notion, what doesn't, and how to keep the workspace useful as more people start using it.

We don't want to make you dependent on us. We want to make you dangerous enough to keep going.

Why Media Junction?

we've screwed this up too.

We didn't become a Notion Partner and magically know how to build the perfect workspace. We started where most companies start. We built things. Changed them. Learned what worked. Learned what didn't. Found information that belonged somewhere else. Rebuilt things we thought we had figured out.

That's how we learned Notion.

We also brought nearly three decades of experience designing systems people actually have to use. That combination matters. Because we aren't here to show you where the buttons are. We're here to help you avoid some of the mistakes we've already made.

frequently asked questions

It's 60 days of working alongside our team to get yours comfortable using Notion.

We'll meet eight times. We'll teach. We'll answer questions. We'll work in your actual workspace. And we'll configure some of the low-hanging fruit with you so you're not starting with a blank page.

The point isn't to finish your Notion workspace in 60 days.

There really isn't a "finished" Notion workspace.

The point is to get your team moving in the right direction.

The things most teams need to get started.

Teamspaces. Navigation. Pages. Databases. Views. Templates. Permissions. Knowledge. Simple automations. Notion AI. Enterprise Search. Workspace administration.

We'll also build and configure a limited number of these things with you during onboarding.

It's enough to learn by doing without pretending an $8K onboarding engagement is a custom implementation.

Both.

Sometimes you need us to explain how something works.

Sometimes you need someone who's seen this before to tell you not to do what you're about to do.

And sometimes the fastest way to learn is to build it together.

That's why we use working sessions instead of handing your team a training curriculum and wishing them luck.

Because nobody learns Notion in an afternoon.

Your team needs time to learn something, use it, realize what they don't understand, and come back with better questions.

Eight sessions over 60 days gives us enough time to teach, build, use, adjust, and keep going.

Onboarding helps your team learn how to use Notion.

Foundation helps you make bigger decisions about how Notion should be structured across your organization.

If you need help getting started, learning the platform, and configuring some of the basics, start with Onboarding.

If the questions sound more like How should all of this be organized? What should our database architecture be? Who owns what? How should governance work? you're probably talking about Foundation.

And if you're not sure, that's okay. We'll tell you.

Good.

You'll have better questions.

We'll look at what you've built, help you understand what's working, and point out where you're making things harder than they need to be.

Starting over isn't the goal.

Getting better is.

Not in Scaled Onboarding.

We'll configure a defined amount of the basics with you because learning by doing works.

But if you need us to design and build a workspace around your processes, that's Workspace Design.

If you need deeper information architecture, governance, database architecture, and standards, that's Foundation.

Onboarding should help us figure out when you actually need either one.

Someone needs to own Notion.

Not necessarily forever. Not necessarily as their full-time job.

But someone needs to understand how the workspace works, why decisions were made, and what happens when 50 people suddenly decide they all need a new database.

That person should be in the room.

Maybe nothing.

That's a perfectly good outcome.

If your team can take what we've built together and keep going, you should.

If we uncover something bigger—workspace design, organizational memory, HubSpot + Notion, AI, automation, governance—we'll help you figure out what makes sense next.

What our clients say

"From the moment we started working with Media Junction, we knew we'd made a great choice"

onboarding isn't expensive.
starting over is.

A little structure. A little experience. Eight good conversations.

Notion is built for builders. It's a flexible and powerful tool from becoming another system your team has to fix later.
