Content fuels inbound marketing. It's what first attracts people to your company and then keeps them engaged until they're ready to make a purchase.
I first started blogging in 2004, but I'm still excited to attend many of the marketing sessions at Inbound 15. Why? Because there are always ways to become a better writer!
Here are some of the sessions I'm excited for at Inbound 15:
Wednesday
1. Dr. Carmen Simon at 11:45 AM- Ballroom East
The Neuroscience of Memorable Content
If someone forgets your content the instant they finish it, your marketing has failed. In The Neuroscience of Memorable Content, Dr. Carmen Simon will talk about what makes people pay attention, remember, and act. I recommend going to this session if you want to learn about how the brain works and discover ways to make everything you write more “sticky”.
2. Jeremy Goldman at 4:45 PM- Room 153 BC
Using Analytics to Create Content
On of the biggest reasons to start using HubSpot is the data you receive about how your prospects read your site — and especially your blog. But once you have the data, what do you do about it? In this session, Jeremy Goldman reveals how to use data observations to shape your content marketing strategy.
Thursday
3. Tara Hunt at 10:30 AM- Room 157 ABC
Transform Your Strategies with Better Research
If you understand what is truly important to your target customer, you’ll be able to shape your marketing to appeal to their deepest desires and unmet needs. I’m excited to listen to Tara Hunt share how to do deep research into target audiences to better understand culture, behaviors and habits, emerging trends, and unmet needs. If you’re working on your buyer personas, make sure you attend this session!
4. Corey Eridon at 2:30 PM- Room 157 ABC
18 Hard-Earned Lessons From The Trenches Of The Hubspot Blog
If anyone knows how to write a kick-ass blog, it’s HubSpot. They constantly publish great articles that get shared, linked to and read over-and-over again. Whether you’re just starting to write or you’re a seasoned pro, you won’t want to miss Corey Eridon, HubSpot’s Managing Editor, share what she’s learned from four years of working on one of the top marketing blogs in the world.
Friday
5. Ann Handley at 10:30 AM- Room 253 ABC
Good Content vs. Good Enough Content: A Fight for Sore Eyes
There's so much content today that people are tuning out. Ann Handley is on a mission to change how we write and to stop content marketers from failing because they've played it too safe. Head to her session to learn how to create the kind of contacts that attracts the customers you want (and repels the customers you don't!)
6. Lee Odden at 11:45 AM- Ballroom East
Hungry for Better Content: What the Mighty Hamburger Can Teach Us About Repurposing & Personalizing with Modular Content
If you’re going to invest the time to create great content, you should get as much mileage out of it as possible. Right? In this session, Lee Odden will reveal how to leverage great content by repurposing it into many different forms (such as infographics, ebooks, blog posts, etc.) This is a “can’t miss” session if you want to find out how to get the most out of your content creation efforts.
7. Pamela Vaughan at 12:45 PM- Room 160 ABC
Optimizing the Past: How to Get More Traffic & Leads From "old" Blog Content
Have you ever been surprised to see an old post still drawing in new leads? Older posts have power, especially if they’ve had a chance to get established in search. Check out this session by Pamela Vaughan, HubSpot Manager of Blog Optimization & Growth, to learn how to optimize your older posts so they continue drawing in new prospects.
If you're attending Inbound 15, share the sessions you're excited about in the comments. And look for the Media Junction team. We'll be at our booth in Club Inbound, and roaming the conference in our "Growth Driven" shirts and blue Converse.
